My name is Bethany Jewell, and I live in Northern Kentucky with my husband and two cats. I began my baking journey when I was young. I have always enjoyed baking in any and all seasons of life, I have found myself always coming back to the oven. I have spent the last four years perfecting recipes, and honing in on my decorating skills. I thoroughly enjoy new challenges and the creative process of designing something new. I know that cakes and the like are for any and all occasions. I would love nothing more than to help you celebrate those milestones and to be a part of bringing people together. What’s in a Name?
My Great Grandmother, Beatrice Jewell, began the business owner journey in the mid-20th century in northern Ohio. Her ice cream parlor, Jewell’s Sweet Shop was a staple of the neighborhood and her Butterscotch ice cream was “to die for;” at least, according to anyone lucky enough to have been there. I have chosen to continue her legacy with Jewell’s Sweet Shoppe, a bakery located in Northern Kentucky. Carrying on a name that I can be proud of and with which I can carry on a family legacy.
